Marshalls Park Academy - National 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 Hours · 28 June 2019

The Friends of MPA is a group of parents and staff who organise events & support school activities in order to raise funds that benefit our students. At the moment, we are raising funds for a new school minibus. However, we have also donated money to the Reading Club so they can get new books!

Story

A group of Teachers and friends of the school will be climbing the three highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours to raise money for Marshalls Park Academy.

The challenge will begin at approximately 6am on Saturday the 29th June at the base of Ben Nevis, from there we will climb over 11000 feet and drive over 400 miles in 24 hours across Scotland, England and Wales.

Marshalls Park Academy is an inclusive 11-16 school in Romford, Essex. The school serves the local community by offering an excellent curriculum underpinned by a constant drive for resilience, curiosity and ambition.

The school takes part in many extra curricular activities including sporting events and Drama productions many of which require the need for a safe, economical and environmentally friendly mode of transport.

The current school minibuses do not conform to the high environmental standards we set as a school and as such we are raising money to fund the purchase of a newer, more environmentally and economically friendly minibus.

We hope you can support this worthy cause.
