London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
This year I'm running London Marathon for The Children's Society, and I can't wait!
They provide support for children that need it, and as a teacher I appreciate how important that support is. Especially at a young age, children need careful guidance and support to achieve the best they can.
Anything you can give to help this great cause would be appreciated. I'm excited to be a part of it!
(Read on below for a summary of how we've been raising money so far)

Hello!
This year I'm running London Marathon for the Children's Society. If you'd like to help me help them, then donate here! I can't wait to be part of this amazing organisations efforts. Read on if you want to hear more, or donate below!
I am a teacher, and have been in education for 10 years. Being at the front line of education has offered me a sobering view of the disparity between people in our society. I have seen children getting up before their family to make sure their parents go to work on their second job. I have taught migrants escaping warzones, and seen them cry because they thought a routine fire drill was a bomb siren. I have seen children bruised and scared to say why, and countless more. I've also seen how much good a helping hand can do. How much can change for the better when they've got someone looking out for them. Everyone wants to make sure every child is safe and cared for, and the Children's society is-I think-the best way to ensure that happens. Just like a marathon, it starts with making a small decision to never, ever give up on what you've set out to do. In my case, it'll be 26.2 miles. In terms of the Children's Society, it'll be helping as many children as possible to have the best future they can. I can't imagine a better partnership.
The Childrens Society transforms the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect. We fight for hope by deeply understanding the needs of young people, supporting them through their most serious life challenges, and campaigning tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most. In the decade ahead, our focus and goal will be to overturn the damaging decline in wellbeing, ensuring this generation can have a happier, safer childhood.Thank you for all of your amazing support. Your fundraising makes a life changing difference. Mile by mile, together we can give children hope.
