SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH BY RUNNING A LONG WAY!! 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
Mental Health is an illness that effects many of us (Mind, report 1:4 people experience mental health problems each year). Some, support others facing the challenges but others hide the challenges they face for fear of judgment or needless labels.
Mental health affects people in different ways. Sometimes stopping people from completing the simplest of things but sometimes it fuels individuals to achieve greatness. Like most people I have faced my own challenges, but with support of friends and family, have overcome these.
Having left the Military, 8 years ago, I now feel I am in a position to help others. So, I’m looking for a new challenge, a new cause, Mental Health is that cause but I need your help.
I recently took on a the Wainwright’s Coast to Coast (C2C) run across the UK and managed to cover 260km in just over 2 days. This helped to raise £3,700 for Mind. I’m now planning the next long distance run to help to achieve a combined target of £10,000 which should help to start a conversation, raising continue awareness for mental health.
I currently recovering from a knee injury but watch this space!!!
