Story

So first things first I would like to thank Mayor Ifti Chaudri in allowing me to carry out duties on his behalf during his time in office as mayor of Runnymede and I am delighted to be a part of the committee organising this years Mayors Charity Ball, an organiser for the walk for peace and now doing this solo bike ride from Egham to Paris in helping him create awareness for these charities but also executing the tasks we have ahead along with the other committee members such as Nigel King, Doctor Brian Perry and David Parr .

I have wanted to do this cycle ride since I completed my first  cycle ride from London to Brighton a few years ago now, Being able to combine this goal with raising money for these  Charity associated with the Mayor ifti chaudri is a pleasure as he is a true leader and insirpation and to work alongside him as taught me a lot. These charities are The Little Roo, Eikron and Family Matters.

I will be setting off on May 4th at 10am from Baron Residential which is situated on Station Road in Egham and heading to Newhaven Docks. I will be getting a ferry across to Dieppe for the following day which is an early start for those who know me 7AM and then my next stop is in Gunnary En Bray on Saturday evening , hopefully :) Sunday evening I plan on arriving in Paris, we shall see as this cycle ride goes as it’s  all of the cuff as the only thing set in stone is newhaven hotel Friday evening and my ferry Saturday am but I’m looking forward to embracing the outdoors and have my sights set firmly on seeing Paris before dark Sunday evening.

On my return there will be a presentation of the monies I have raised to the Mayor for all charities involved. Date and time of this event held at Baron Residential to be confirmed.

I would like to thank the Mayor of Runnymede Ifti Chaudri for appointing me on two events and this solo ride is to add to the money raised already for his term as mayor.

I would be most grateful of any support you could offer to these amazing charities and I would like to thank you for the time in reading my journey

Kind Regards,

James King
