Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am CURRENTLY walking barefoot, over 1,800 miles (3,000km) from Gibraltar to St Catherine's Hospice. When I complete this challenge it WOULD HAVE BEEN be a new Guinness World Record, had I not been robbed in my sleep on the outskirts of Madrid, and lost all my electronics, including the verification footage in the process...
Ah well. This was never about personal achievements, it was to raise money for st Catherine’s Hospice. I’ve carried on walking, but will you carry on donating?
I hope so!
I’ve been hospitalised twice in Spain and France (Not Barefoot related I might add, my feet have coped better than anything else!) been robbed, slept in thunderstorms, under bridges, in graveyards, football grounds and everything in between!
My Step-Dad Simon was admitted to St Catherine's hospice back in 2015. I was working abroad in Gibraltar and ended up getting the train to Madrid, a plane to Brussels and another flight to Manchester! This was the quickest way for me to get back home and I will be re-creating this journey for the World Record attempt.
Gibraltar - Malaga - Madrid - Paris - Brussels - Calais/Dover - London - Manchester - St Catherine’s Hospice, Preston
Thanks for taking the time to read this story, please follow the challenge and DONATE NOW if you are able!
EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SELF FUNDED, SO EVERY PENNY DONATED WILL GO TO ST CATHERINE’S HOSPICE! Not paying my my ‘holiday’!
Thank you for taking the time, please donate if you are able!
I did loads of mini challenges to prepare for this and tried to get the word out in newspapers and on local radio. Please share this page and story, that would be the best advertisement possible! And it’s FREE!
With no support team, (in a physical way), this challenge has been so difficult and much harder than I expected. After setting off back in March. Wow. I’m writing this in October in London! I should have finished. A long time ago!!
But still remaining positive and more determined than ever I am continuing through the cold!
If you’ve got this far, thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can donate, please do. If you can’t, please tell someone you know about this, or share it in your social media. It helps so much it’s incredible really!
Peace and love to you all
Stay blessed
