Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year on 24th March 2018, our son, Max, was born at Southmead and transferred the same day to St. Michael’s NICU. He was born with a problem in his digestive system that we had found out about via a scan the day before he was born, which was then corrected by surgery the morning after. Scary times to say the least...
Max then spent the next 3-4 weeks in the amazing care of the doctors and nurses at the intensive care unit. My wife, Sarah, and I were blessed with an incredible level of care and will forever be indebted to those who helped Max. As I cycle past the hospital every day on the way to work, I think of those who we were lucky enough to have met, the team and facilities that supported him, and of those many parents and families who I know have not been as fortunate as ourselves.
A year later, Max is doing very well, though definitely still needs to up his sleep game... But let's be honest, we'll take a bit of sleep deprivation given the earlier trials and tribulations!
Thanks again for taking the time to visit the page and all donations are of course welcome!
