Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 · 25 April 2026 to 26 April 2026 ·

We support people seeking asylum and refugees through a wide range of service from our advice and advocacy team to our bike library. We are here for all people seeking asylum in Glasgow and provide a regular programme of community activities in Govan including community meals and ESOL classes.

Story

Support Govan Community Project Each Step of The Way

We are thrilled to announce that members of our Men’s Group, alongside our Coordinator Rago, and our Community Fundraiser, Megan, will be taking on this year’s Kiltwalk!

They are walking together to raise vital funds for Govan Community Project, ensuring our group can continue to thrive. Every contribution directly supports our weekly sessions, workshops, and community trips, keeping this resource free and accessible for every man in our community.

Why Your Support Matters

The Men’s Group provides a vital sanctuary for men to connect, forge lasting friendships, and develop practical skills. This group is a cornerstone of mutual support, designed to reduce social isolation and encourage active community involvement. Seeing our members walk together is a true testament to the strength of this community.

Our Impact & Outcomes

By providing a consistent, welcoming space, the Men’s Group achieves meaningful change:

- Improved Mental Wellbeing: Sharing meals and experiences helps reduce stress and provides a safe outlet for expression.

- Skill Development: Through workshops and peer-led sharing, members gain practical knowledge that builds confidence and independence.

- Social Cohesion: We break down barriers, turning neighbors into friends and fostering a deep sense of belonging within Cardonald.

- Resilience: Our mutual support network ensures that no member has to face life’s challenges alone.
