Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year Tara Saunders a former colleague of mine at Priestlands - the secondary school I teach at - lost her battle with cervical cancer aged just 44. Before she died she began a campaign raising awareness of the need to have regular smear tests - read more on her Facebook page - Tara’s Take Time To Test.

We had told Tara that as a school we would like to fundraise in her honour and she asked us to fundraise for Oakhaven Hospice. This is our local hospice, it has been an amazing place for so many people locally and  their families and relies hugely on fundraising.

Soooo to do my bit I have been convinced by my year 9 tutor group to shave my head if I can raise £1000. I know - I should have just said no! But here we are....Please help me to get to my target quickly so I can just get it over with!  It is a brilliant cause - I can’t tell you how much this hospice does for our community. So worth looking a little different for a while...possibly!
