The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

The Myriad Centre http://myriadcentre.co.uk/ helps young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties through a very important stage in their lives - the transition from school to adulthood. I am raising funds with my own challenge and hope to encourage the rowers I coach to also take part in their own fundraising.

On Sunday 26 April 2020 I rowed 26k on the indoor rowing machine. I rowed 2,600 metre pieces, ten times (with a three-minute rest between each piece). I will donate £1 for every RGS Worcester rower or rowing alumni, who also takes up the 2.6 Challenge (up to £100) - rowers can do any Challenge based on the numbers 2 and 6 and they have until Friday 1 May to complete their Challenge. Good Luck everyone!

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
