As part of a countdown of 'firsts' as I head towards a significant birthday next May, I have decided to complete a Wing Walk this August in aid of The Froebelian School's chosen charity for this year: Save the Children. We have been raising money for this charity since September 2021 and, through combined efforts from individuals, groups and the whole school community, we have already raised over £4000 this year which is a fantastic achievement.

Working with children is an absolute privilege and we are lucky in our school to work with children who have happy, safe and secure family backgrounds. Sadly, not all children around the world are quite so fortunate and part of our work in school is help to inspire our children at Froebelian to be global citizens and to do what they can to support others who may be in need.

The Wing Walk is one of the biggest (and most adventurous!) things on my list, as I hope to try something new each month before my next birthday. Giving blood, going to play Bingo, trying paddle-boarding, riding on a Harley Davidson and having some singing lessons also feature on my list as things I have never tried before!
