Story
A year and a half ago my sister was told that her eyesight was rapidly deteriorating and she would need a cornea transplant..She was terrified to say the least.
Exactly a year to the date of our fundraising walk, 8th March, she had the transplant.
I cannot stress how distressed she was over having the operation done however I believe the only reason she even went ahead with it was because of the continued advice and support given by the amazing staff at Moorfields.
Starting from her pre op check, throughout the whole procedure and beyond to the after care given to her by the amazing people at every level from the doctors to nurses and even the orderlies at the hospital.
I wanted to show my appreciation by giving something back to ensure that each and every patient receives the same care as my sister.
As well as my sister my father has also used the facilities at Moorfields on numerous occasions and was treated in the same genuine kind and caring manner.
Please support me in fundraising for these amazing people, I am deeply grateful for whatever you can donate and I thank you for all your support on me completing the fourteen mile Eye to Eye sponsored walk.
