Louise Kennedy is raising money for Maggie's Centres
Story
Evening all...here we go...
So, I said I would never run another marathon, or bother you all again on here, but, the worst thing about watching my dad struggle with incurable Cancer is that I can do nothing at times to lift his spirits or make him better.......apart from this. So, take 3, from Edinburgh, to London, tooooooo, wait for it, New.....Stirling Marathon on the 21st May!
My training is tough, but cancer is tougher. You know I would appreciate if you could help both of my plights BUT this time I would like to give you something back too!
I'm calling on you to help fund a day at a Maggie’s Centre.
It costs £2,400 to run a Maggie's Centre for a day and they are only able to open their doors free of charge.
By sponsoring me the new Maggies Forth Valley have agreed it will open its doors for a day in ALL OF YOUR NAMES (not mine) and your money will go directly towards helping people with cancer in our Forth Valley community. It's called aday in your name! My wee Dad will be attending the centre in the coming months for much needed support. It's the only place around that can help in such a way. I'd love it to be the day you all made happen.
P.S I'm trying to beat my PB of sub 3:21 hours so if you're around my braw homeland that day please come and help blow me round!
