Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

The "MS exercising together group" is a volunteer led exercise class for people with Multiple Sclerosis. It offers support from an MS specialist physiotherapist, group Pilates sessions and a strengthening workout with a certified Personal Trainer. The class is held in a multi-purpose community centre in Haringey and relies on equipment donated by its volunteers.

The Exercising Together Group is completing a relay mobility and cycling challenge on June 14th, to raise money to purchase an exercise bike, some exercise mats, some pilates equipment and strengthening and rehabilitation aids to be used in the class.

Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive neurological disorder that can affect all areas of a persons functional ability. Amongst many symptoms, it can cause weakness, fatigue, balance difficulties and can affect a persons ability to walk, or use their hands for everyday activities.

Exercise is an important part of how a person with Multiple Sclerosis needs to manage their symptoms. At the Exercising Together Group, we strive to provide our attendees with an affordable, supportive exercise environment, with access to specialist health and fitness advice and rehabilitation equipment.

Any donation, however small, can go towards buying the equipment that we need.

Thank you for your support!
