Story
There are an endless amount of amazing things I can say about my family's Mount experience over the past five plus years, but I'd like to share with you something more personal. In my eldest daughter's junior year, she was really struggling with some personal issues and a challenging class schedule. Without her even having to ask for help, her teachers recognized something was "off" with her and did whatever they could to help. They offered her compassion, warmth, and guidance. Sister Lisa counseled her and truly made a difference in her life. By that spring, Alexa was flourishing due to all of the love and support she received here at Mount! She graduated MSMA in 2020 and is a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame.
Fast forward to my current junior, Dena. She too has been feeling troubled this year. She is battling through some crippling test-taking anxiety with the help of a counselor. As with Alexa, the Mount faculty have been incredibly supportive and encouraging to Dena. Each one of her teachers has been on "Team Dena" to help her through this difficult challenge. Dena has been steadily improving with each assessment and she is working to get her problem under control, but I know she would not be nearly as successful without the love and support of her Mount family.
My husband and I are so grateful for all of the gifts Mount has given our family. We cannot help but to give back to this fabulous school and community. Please join my team to help raise funds for Mount Saint Mary Academy on Giving Tuesday!
