Story
This year will be 10 years since my baby Zoe Marie Susan was born sleeping. She was born on 27th October 2003 suffering from a severe genetic condition called Thanatophoric dysplasia.
Once I had gone through the trauma of her funeral and was returning to life after her death, I found the usual questions popping up. Lots of why's?. The Child Bereavement Charity gave me hours and hours of support. I had one on one counselling, I was given dvd's to watch, leaflets and the constant guidance and support that I so desperately needed.
Zoe is buried in the Snowdrop cemetary in High Wycombe, a small cemetery just for babies and every year the charity hold a snowdrop walk where I can go and plant a snowdrop in the grounds of the Dashwood estate. Something seemingly small which means so much to me.
So when I saw that there was a cycling event, which will be more miles than I've cycled before, on Zoe's birthday I knew I wanted to take part and raise money for the charity so please, dig deep.
Some friends and family are also joining the ride and we'll keep you updated on our progress.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story :)
