Story

For 20 years, Mt. Olive Pickle has marked New Year's Eve with the Pickle Drop in our hometown of Mount Olive, NC. Since the first public event in 2001, we've held a canned food drive, asking those who attend to bring donations of food or funds.

Like so many events in 2020, this year's Pickle Drop is canceled. Instead, we will webcast a 30-minute compilation of past pickle drops this December 31 from 6:30-7:00 p.m. (note time is different than previously reported) at www.mtolivepickles.com. So, as always, the pickle will come down the pole at 7 o'clock sharp!

Watch The Pickle Drop Webcast!

We also wish to continue the tradition of supporting Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, so we are launching this virtual food drive for New Year's Eve. We are asking our Mt. Olive Pickle fans - the best fans in the world - to support Food Bank of CENC's vital work in our community. Donate anytime from now through Wednesday, January 6, 2021, and Mt. Olive will match the first $5,000 in donations!
