Mtwara Tech 'dream team' are back and we're raising money to buy three water filters for Mtwara Tech school, the greatest school in the world which houses the most wonderful students you could ever meet. Currently, all students (over 700) share two water pumps which supply them with dirty, diseased water. We want to buy three water filters for three new pumps so that they can drink and wash in clean, safe water.

Telling the students we were doing this was honestly one of the most amazing and greatest moments that we can remember. The whole school erupted and they were all so grateful, so we are extremely excited to give them something back after everything that they gave and taught us over our 6 weeks with them. Both us and the students will be incredibly grateful for every last penny that anybody can give for this cause and we all thank you very much in advance!! 

In order to raise as much money as possible, Charlotte and Joëlle are completely a sponsored triathlon on June 15th!!! We will be swimming 750m, biking 20km and running 5km back to back to raise as much money as we can to support our amazing cause! Hey lads !! Char and Joëlle here and we have a big announcement to make to you all:

This summer we will both be completing a **TRIATHLON** in attempt to raise money for Warwick in Africa! We're raising money to purchase and install water filters in our beloved Tanzanian school, Mtwara Tech and would love your support !! We are currently training to complete a 'Sprint Triathlon' in which we will be swimming 750m, biking 20km and ending on a 5km run. Our decision to complete this comes to a surprise to us as much as it does to you, considering our physical states and lack of fitness activity (lol). But it's happening, and we would LOVE for you to sponsor us to show your support that we can actually complete this (lol again) but also to help us reach our goal of £500. This is just the small amount needed to supply clean, safe water to the hundreds of wonderful, hard-working and deserving students of Mtwara Secondary School.

For any of those who have miraculously missed the news somehow, last summer we spent 6 weeks in Mtwara, Tanzania volunteer teaching together with Warwick in Africa. During our time there, we met the most incredible, determined, inspiring students who would always have to miss class due to illness; often caused by drinking dirty, unsafe water. We asked our students what would they have if they could have one thing: they said clean water. We want to make this wish reality for them and oversee the installation of 3 new water filters to ensure every student has access to drinkable, safe water. To do this, we need to raise £500 and every last penny will go directly to funding this cause.


So please show your support, no matter how little or small- the price of a cup of coffee is enough to see that these students, our friends, have no reason to miss out on the vital education that they all want and deserve so badly! We (and our bodies) also welcome any words and wishes of luck for this great challenge we are about to undertake! Thank you !!!!
