Liverpool Sleepout is back for 2022 at St James in the City, Upper Parliament Street, Liverpool. We are set to host a socially distanced sponsored Liverpool Sleepout to increase awareness and raise money to continue our work to end homelessness.

Story

For a number of years, The Whitechapel Centre has organised an annual sleepout to raise tens of thousands for our city’s homeless and most vulnerable. It’s made an immeasurable difference to those who need it most, but due to the bonfire of the last 2 years or so, the event hasn’t taken place since 2019.

As they’ve lost this critical source of funding, the centre needs support more than ever. Evictions and homelessness have risen throughout the last few years and the centre was restricted with its fundraising options.

I’d really appreciate it if any of you could spare a couple of quid to go towards this. I know life in general has been mentally and physically exhausting for us all so nothing is expected, but if you’re able to donate then it will genuinely help those who are further away from security and safety than they were at the time of the last event.

Cheers - look after each other.

The Whitechapel Centre is a leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. We work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. We are committed to help people to find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living. We work with over 4,000 people a year. Our projects reflect the diverse routes into and out of homelessness. A variety of services, in different settings, compliment each other and ensure no one slips through the net of support.
