MUMHC's Purple Wave 10Km & Half Marathon

MUMHC Purple Wave · 23 May 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced poverty upon many and in the worst cases has made people homeless or threatened them with the prospect. In Greater Manchester alone 620,000 people and 200,000 children (over a third) live below the poverty line, these individuals and families often must make difficult choices nobody should have to, such as whether or not they can afford to eat.
Mustard Tree helps these people to change their lives, secure better accommodation and economic wellbeing. Their focus is on tackling both the causes and consequences of poverty and homelessness, creating opportunities for people to help themselves and their families through providing practical support, friendship, connections into work and improvements to health & wellbeing. Through their Community Shops they provide food and resources to help individuals and families make a home and offer creative programmes to aid, recover and encourage aspiration.
Please support our efforts with the running and donate to help them to continue their amazing work.
