Story
Thank you for visiting the Mummies charity screening website.
During the eight years and numerous visits that I took to Egypt to make Mummies, I saw many things that are not in the film. I also realised that the fate of Egypt's extraordinary heritage lies in the hands of a generation who do not all share the start in life we take for granted: secure, happy homes and an education. This is something SOS Children's Villages is working hard to remedy.
I do hope that you will join us for the screening on Thursday 5th June at the BFI IMAX, Waterloo. A generous benefactor has covered the costs of the event, and The Sloane Club has sponsored the wine, so every penny you give will go to the charity. I am suggesting a minimum donation of £12.50 per child's ticket (for children of 7 and up), and £25.00 per adult ticket, but if you can give more, thank you so much.
The evening will consist of a reception starting at 6pm, followed at 7pm by a screening of the film and a brief show-and-tell, where we will peek behind the scenes. You should be able to escape (!) by 8.30pm, when many of us will go on to PJ's on the Fulham Road for an After-party.
If you would like to attend, when you make your donation please note in the COMMENT column how many tickets you would like to receive. They will be held for you at the door. Your name, and what you write in the COMMENT column will not be visible to anyone else online. You will receive a confirmation email.
