Story
Recently, a friend and fellow school mum at Enborne Primary School passed away after a battle with cancer. It left us all shocked and saddened. Another mum has also just completed treatment. And less than a year ago, we lost our school headteacher to the same horrible illness.
Enborne is a small school with a big community feel. We want to show our support for families affected by cancer. At the same time we're raising funds for the school, to enrich the children's learning.
Ten mums will be running all 13.1 miles of the Oxford half marathon on 8 October. Some of us have run before. Others are complete beginners. For all of us, it's a challenge.
Money raised will be split between three charities: Cancer Research UK, Maggie's Centre (which offers support to people with cancer) and the Friends of Enborne School.
Thank you very much for donating and for cheering us on.
