NEXT TRIP TO REYHANLI, TURKEY JUNE/JULY 2020 iA.

Asalaam Alaikum, Peace be with you

We recently became involved with World Care Foundation and have been very inspired by the work they do in Scotland and abroad. A recent Fundraising Dinner at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh raised over £110,000 for Syrian orphans and to build an orphanage.

What appeals to us in particular is that the organisation is volunteer lead, with many, many young people, giving their time freely and that 100% of all donations go to the cause you are supporting.

World Care Foundation has many projects and another one is a Foodbank in Edinburgh, which operates every second Saturday from 9.30 to 11.30am. Ausat and I spent a morning with them, meeting the volunteers and the families who use the service and also met those who just come in for a chat! It’s very unique.

On 17 February inshAllah (God willing) we will join World Care Foundation, on one of their regular aid missions to Lebanon and Turkey.

We will get a chance to meet the refugee families and orphans who have been forced to leave Syria, for example, because of war. We will distribute any money we raise directly to those in need.

We are financing the trip ourselves, so that any money you are able to give will be spent on the families in need.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and thank you for any contribution you are able to make.

UPDATE: The trip is postponed due to continuing unrest in Lebanon. We will update you as soon as new dates are confirmed. 30.10.19
