Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.

Story

Munro 50 is a project being undertaken by two local hotel managers in order to raise money for the Severn Hospice. This came about following a conversation on New Years Eve between one of the participants and a certain Scot known for his Burns night suppers!

The challenge is to climb 50 Munro Mountains in the Scottish Highlands in 14 days, a Munro being a distinct summit over 3000ft, the total height climbed will exceed some 155,000ft, not to mention the other mountains inbetween.

The overall objective is to raise £5000 for Severn Hospice by completing this unique and challenging project.

(Only £100 a Munro - seemed like a good idea at the time!!!!)
