Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Music Aid's  JustGiving page.

I set up Music Aid as a 'not-for-profit' company to run a variety of music based donation raising events throughout the year and also provide aspiring musicians with the platform and an opportunity to perform in public.

With support from my friend and musical mentor, Mike Shepherd, we started this journey in 2016 fund raising for Marie Curie through a curry evening with 'live music' at our local Bannatyne Health Club in Solihull.

We are both strongly supportive of this charity having had close family members affected by cancer.

Last year saw our second music evening with Bannatynes providing a number of items as prizes in our raffle and we were joined by several club members who took the opportunity to perform.

We remember Roger Goldingay who rehearsed with us for several weeks and entertained the audience with his silky, velvety and effortless renditions - Roger sadly passed away in Summer 2018 from cancer.

On 17 January 2019 we will once again be putting together another musical evening where we will be joined by new 'musical members' (performing as a band) and we will end the evening by hosting another open-mic session for any of our fellow club members who want to 'have a go'.

A big thank you to those members who continue to support our efforts and also to those that join us on stage.
