Music For The Forgotten Children · 31 December 2017
MUSIC FOR THE FORGOTTEN CHILDREN is a music event taking place in early 2018 that will promote cultural diversity and engage the audience in talks and speeches by political figures and artists that underline how important it is for us (British society) to endorse a philosophy of inclusion and acceptance. After all, many of us, are the children of migrants, whether In the last 50 years or 500 years.
After a huge amount of media exposure last year the refugee crisis has been virtually relegated to old news in the British press. Keeping people present to the disturbing facts and emphasising the need for public engagement is therefore very important.
Children are the most vulnerable to exploitation, abuse and the long term effects of emotional and physical displacement and trauma. If we forget about them we run the risk of allowing a generation of people to grow up full of anger and despair.
I have chosen to raise funds for the Refugee Council as they run, amongst other incredible services, a therapeutic arts programme for unaccompanied child refugees.
Please change a life this year and donate as much as you can leading up to the music event to help support the vulnerable children in our country who without your aid will be forgotten due to a lack of funds and human consciousness...
