Story
When we need emotional support in life, we so often turn to music. Whether we perform ourselves, or attend concerts, or just plug in our headphones as we go about our daily lives – music has always been part of the very fabric of our human identity.
In order to stay safe in this global pandemic, public events, concerts, and gatherings all over the world have been cancelled. This is important, to keep everyone safe. But it does have a devastating effect on the creative industries, and particularly on musicians whose income is lost entirely as a result of cancelled concerts.
Both individuals and organisations now face very real questions about their long-term survival. It is perhaps the biggest challenge the entertainment industry has faced. Musicians do so much for our society – often even waiving their fees in order to support charities. Now – in this time of global adversity – we need to take care of our musicians.
This is why we’ve set up a Just Giving page for Help Musicians – this is your chance to support members of our society who give so much of themselves for our benefit and who are so often undervalued.
So, please help our musicians by donating and supporting them now. #MusicMustNotStop
