Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

I lost my mum in February 2016 to Vascular Dementia but the truth is I lost her a long time before that. Everyone knew her as someone who could talk for England, had an opinion about everything and wasn't afraid to tell you what she thought! She was fun loving and sociable and liked nothing more than spending time with her family.

Bit by bit Dementia took her away until all that was left was a sad and empty shell of what she had once been. She didn't understand what was happening to her and was so frightened......

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year - that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes.

For me and my girls doing the memory walk every year is our way of helping make sure no other family has to go through what we went through.

Please help us walk for a world without dementia
