Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

We are Billie and Poppy Morgan. We will be taking part in the 6KM memory walk in dedication to our bestfriend and beloved grandfather, Derek, who has been our role model throughout our lives always encouraging us to live life to the fullest. Although dementia has recently limited this for him, his vibrant personality and witty jokes mean deep down he is still the Grampy we know and love.

We have experienced first hand the effect of this condition and we want to do as much as we can to raise awareness and support for ongoing research to help future families similar to ours. On September 1st we will be doing the 6KM walk for him and all those sadly affected. Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. With your donation, we are a step closer to our £300 goal which can fund 6 days worth of research and resources to improve diagnosis, care and treatment for people affected by the condition. Once you so gratefully donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society.

Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
