Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

My Dad's Journey

My Dad had Vascular Dementia. He spent the last 2.5 years of his life in a dementia care home where as a family we witnessed his deterioration and the deterioration of the other residents.

It is a sad and cruel disease that takes everything away from the sufferer...memories, abilities, bodily function and also comes with increased fear, anger and confusion.

My Dad passed away on 4th January 2018 and I am doing this walk with all my family to raise money so that dementia sufferers and their families can hope for a better future for all.

Please support me if you can. Every penny counts and goes directly to the Alzheimer's Society. A few pennies from many can add up to a significant contribution so that we can move towards a world without dementia!

Thanks so much.

Leigh :) xx
