Last year Chris was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Life for us is not what we had planned. The children are young carers for their dad and are an amazing support to me. We are grateful for support from social services, Norfolk young carers, family and friends and church family at Oak Grove Community Church. We walk to raise money for research in the hope that a cure can be found. I vow to keep the children's childhood as normal as we live with an uninvited family member that is "Dementia".
"We are gonna sing in the middle of the storm." (Raise a Hallelujah - Bethel Music)
Please support me and the children as we complete this walk.
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
