As a Care of the Older Person team over three wards we deal with acutely unwell patients, some of which suffer with Dementia. These patients are vulnerable and require reassurance, positivity and a calming environment. We ensure this on our wards and provide our patients with a high standard of care. As a team we want to show our support for Alzheimers Society and the work that they do for our patients and their carers. Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England,Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Once you donate, will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together.
