We are a group of young people participating in the NCS Summer Programme in Hastings. We are currently planning a social action project for the local community, and we are seeking out donations for transport and equipment as well as raising money for Alzheimer's Society.

As well as our Memory Walk, we will be visiting a nursing home and spending time with residents. We understand that, for many people, spending time with young people is a rarity. This is unfortunate as spending time with young people has been proven to improve mental health as well as reduce their feelings of loneliness. We want to create a sense of community by hosting activities and playing games, as well as sitting and talking to get to know the residents better. 

We want to close a divide between generations.
