Memory Walk 2019
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help, to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes.

Dementia can be a frustrating and painful experience for those affected and their loved ones. Although there is no cure, scientists and researchers are working hard to find one. There are also treatments and supports available that can allow people with dementia to lead active, purposeful lives and carry on doing the things that matter to them most.

I know firsthand through personal and clinical encounter and experience, the effect of this devastating condition. So, I have decided along with my husband Austin and my mum Pauline, to take part in the 5km Memory walk, to raise money to support dementia research and support by the Alzheimer’s society. We hope this will bring us steps closer to a world without dementia.

Let's take on dementia together. Any and all donations would be absolutely amazing. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
