Memory Walk 2019
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help, to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

As some of you may already know, Tirebuck Recruitment’s founder - Karen Tirebuck was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s dementia in her mid 50’s. Karen started Tirebuck Recruitment in July 2000, and made waves locally throughout the years, providing a more bespoke and personal recruitment service. Karen has been awarded the accolades of 'Solihull Business Women of the Year' and 'Solihull Times Best Business Award' during her professional career. The ironic and cruel thing is, Karen is almost certainly “unforgettable” and one of a kind, as I’m sure those that know or have met her will agree. Being diagnosed has been a devastating blow for Karen and all the people that know and love her. Karen is now 61 and we are all watching this horrific disease strip her of her personality, social skills and ability to care for herself. We NEED to find a cure to ensure this won’t happen to others in the future.

Karen and the team at Tirebuck Recruitment, along with friends and family will be taking part in a “GLOW” memory walk in March to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the Alzheimer’s Society, who have been and continue to be a great support to us.

The team at Tirebuck Recruitment, headed up by Karen’s daughter Emily Tirebuck, are passionate about supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, and would like to invite you to make a donation and support us, big or small, it would mean the world to us!

Thank you x
