Dementia made my nans last years so awful, she couldn’t remember things she did throughout her best years. It was very upsetting to see my beautiful amazing nan go through what she did because of dementia, it affected our whole family.

I want to do this memory walk to make this disease more aware to everyone and to get more research done to help find a cure or at least a prevention.

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This year Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia.
