Story
I am doing the walk in honour of my dad Mick Darby. This man is the best dad I could have ever asked for. Over the recent years I've watched this independent, athletic, fishing mad man, karaoke enthusiast, fantastic fun filled grandad deteriorate before our eyes. This horrendous illness strips away independence from our loved ones everyday. To have my dad back to normal, I'd give anything in a heart beat. I hear from loads who knew him from there time at The Pingle School, or times at football or even his cricket days at the Rodney. Memories of some of these times I hold close to my heart with happiness. I'm proud of my dad in so many ways, so in honour of my Dad, I'm doing this walk for you, so keep fighting the fight dad.
I'll be getting my lazy lockdown butty off the sofa and going for a walk around the Swadlincote area, got to keep local due to lockdown restrictions. Please feel free to donate how ever big or small for a worthy cause. Love to each and everyone of you
AND STAY SAFE
