Memory Walk 2021
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. With your help, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my “Memory Walk” page for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. That's the equivalent of around 225,000 people every year. By sponsoring me to do this Memory Walk you are helping contribute to a dementia free future and helping people affected by dementia. From research in 2019 there were more than 850,000 people in the UK living with Alzheimer’s disease.
I found out about Dementia whilst researching my HPQ (a short – course GCSE) on “To what extent does music help Dementia sufferers?”
There is no cure for this disease and sadly it is progressive. Learning about this awful disease which affects so many, has made me want to help. We are walking as a family as this cause is dear to our hearts. I wish to raise £150 and I hope to walk 20 miles in order to achieve this goal.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will be going towards people who need our help.
Thank you very much.
Imogen
