Mick was taken into Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire on the 6th January 2017.

He was suffering from pneumonia, however (unknown to everyone at the time) he had a more serious underlying problem with his lungs.

He was taken into the Intensive Care Unit on 11th where he received 24 hour round the clock 1-2-1 care.

Despite the best efforts of everyone at the hospital looking after him he lost his battle against the Interstitial Lung Disease on 20th January.
