We have entered into the rust to Rome 2016 rally which involves teams entering £500 vehicles and attempting to drive 4,250 miles from Edinburgh to Rome via the SwissAlps in ten days.

We decided amongst ourselves to up the antics. We amended a few of the rules and will be entering the rally under our new proposed terms…

1.    We will uses a vehicle 15-20 years of age

2.    Thevehicle must have more than 100,000 miles on the clock

3.    We will not spend more than £250 purchase and any repair required on the vehicle(with exception to insurance and road tax)

4.    We will increase the distance by traveling Aberdeen to Rome via the Swiss Alps andthen attempting to return to Aberdeen in 14 days.

So what are we trying to achieve?? We hope to raise as much money as possible for Aberdeen based children’s charity The Archie Foundation.

 All expenses for entering the rally, the vehicle, fuel, ferry crossings, accommodation etc. will be covered by myself and Kyle. All donations will 100% go to charity as will the full selling cost of the vehicle upon our return.
