Story

2020 is Canine Partners' 30th anniversary and should have been filled with events and fundraising. Instead, we're on lockdown and many such opportunities have been cancelled.

As I live through this lockdown, as a disabled person, I have never been more grateful for having Liggy. Not only has she continued to help me with daily tasks to maintain my independence, but she has kept our spirits up, with her daily antics and gentle, loving nature.

Please help me to raise essential funds, so that Canine Partners can continue to provide assistance dogs to people like me. It costs around £30,000 per assistance dog, from acquiring a puppy through to retirement. Canine Partners do not receive any government funding. Everything comes from charitable giving from people like you.

I know there are many worthy causes out there but please support me in this 2.6 challenge. On 26th April, I will be producing a short 2.6 minute video to show the benefits that having a Canine Partner bring to a person with a physical disability. I will upload this to my YouTube channel and I hope to eventually get at least 26,000 views, so as well as donating, please help me by sharing the video.
