The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

I have recently qualified as a Search Technician for Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR) which is a charity whose objective is to find vulnerable and missing people in Kent.

It is a fantastic charity to be a part of and so I wanted to help them fundraise during this challenging time. UK's Charities General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic due to thousands of fundraising events being cancelled.

I had originally signed up for 2 Crossfit competitions and an assault course this year which have all been postponed so I thought I would set myself a different challenge which I could do during lockdown.

My challenge is to run the distance of a marathon (26.22 miles or 42.2km) in 7 days starting on Sunday 19th April.

I am not a natural runner and rarely go out more than twice a week so this is definitely going to challenge me physically.

I will be updating the page with my progress through the week.

Thank you for your donations - any donation is welcome no matter how small :)
