The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

***update: if I achieve double my target (£524) I will do the press-ups whilst being hosed down with water.

Hello!

Please sponsor me as I take on a MAMMOTH physical challenge

  • 2.6km run
  • 26 press-ups
  • 260 skips

Yes this does not sound hard to you marathon running, gym going fitness people but keep in mind I do not think I ever finished a "long distance run" at school and since leaving school I have never attempted "running". I am also in terrible physical shape. I have given my self 5 days to prepare for the challenge and expect to really regret this decision!

Why Place2Be?

Whilst so many charities need our help right now Place2Be has committed to continue to provide support for vulnerable and at risk kids in spite of schools being temporarily closed during lockdown. Now more than ever, kids suffering from depression, anxiety or any other mental health condition need the support of a Place2Be counsellor.

In this difficult time they continue to proved their services to the vulnerable kids and kids of key workers who are still at school and provide a remote service to those at home.

I am aiming to raise £262 to keep on theme for this challenge but please give generously. I am happy to send supporters a video of me doing the challenge if the thought of my physical pain is an enticement to give.

Thanks in advance

Adam

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
