The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities with the cancellation of events and the loss of income through fundraising. Many charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most and it is unclear how they will survive the next few months and be there once this is over.

The 2.6 challenge is all about saving the UK's Charities. Our small arts and cultural organisations especially need our help as their funding sources have been severely reduced and they aren't eligible for govt support as arts are not essential services. I understand this, however I don't want to be released from lockdown into a world where all those wonderful local music, arts, culture and crafts organisations have perished.
