Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Three men and a lady aka Mikey, Robin, Paddy and Hayley are going to brave the shave if AND ONLY IF they reach £2626 by Sunday 26th April as part of the 2.6 charity challenge in aid of Trevi House.

Here is a little bit about each of them:

Mikey

Mike's hair has been called many things: 'sumptious', 'out there', 'whirly,' and 'glorious' from a recent survey on Facebook.  Mike's hair has been compared to many things: Sideshow Bob, Bob Foss, Doc Brown (Back to the Future), a fuzzy sheep, Leo Sayer.  It has been the subject of many conversations over the years and frankly has become too big for its bonce, ahem, boots (sorry).  Mikey's scalp has had enough of being outshone by his curls and wants to see some sun!  So please, dig deep in support of this man's skull and its quest for light in these dark days.  We promise to cut some funny shapes before shaving it all off to Grade 0!

Robin

Robin has had a wide range of hair styles in the past but NEVER A GRADE 0!  Robin is known for spending quite a bit of time on his hair in the morning - he has a cupboard full of hair grooming products from waxes to gels and sprays!  He also has numerous pairs of stylie shades to wear, depending on his hair style that day!  As a new dad last year, Robin's beautiful daughter still doesn't have a lot of hair so Robin says he is doing this: "So she doesn't feel left out and so they can look like two peas in a pod!"  Robin who works for the transport team at the council, has numerous video meetings whilst working from home, and Kelly, his partner, cannot wait to hear what their reaction is when they see him!

Paddy

Paddy has probably the least to worry about among the group as his hair is the shortest. He’s currently working from home and has incorporated a fitness regime into his daily schedule so feels it’s time for a chop to suit his new svelte look!  That being said, Paddy has an important job as a lawyer and so he’s hoping it grows back in time for when lockdown is over!

Paddy says: “My friend Craig had to shave his hair off recently due to going bald, so I thought I would make him feel better and join him!”

Hayley

Hayley is the only female in the group despite her best attempts at trying to get other females to take part!  She is incredibly nervous about this however she feels in good company with her brother Robin, brother in law Mikey and good friend Paddy and so is up for the challenge.  Having been a fundraiser for most of her life, this challenge she considers to be on a different level to those she has conquered before.  From previous abseils, to half marathons; swimathons to sleepovers in haunted jails, "braving the shave" is quite different and perhaps one of the scariest challenges she has ever faced.  This coupled with the fact that her husband and son will be in charge of the "big shave", she is doubly anxious!   Trevi is a charity that has been very close to Hayley's heart since 2018 - Hayley is lucky enough to see every day the life changing work that Trevi is able to achieve for many women and children, so please dig extra deep!
