My 2.6 Challenge

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi everyone - I'm definitely not 'big' on asking for sponsorship and stuff, but on April 26th (original date of the London Marathon), I am going to run a marathon in our garage on our running machine (Octane ZR7 - maybe they'll sponsor me !!). I've never run a marathon before .. so this may not go well .. but during these unprecedented and very difficult times, I'm really worried about how so many wonderful charities are actually struggling so badly, given how many fundraising events have been cancelled. And also the incredible (and deserved) focus on our amazing NHS.
But I am choosing the RSPCA, since animals and welfare have always been so close to my heart. If you didn't know it, the RSPCA are really struggling at the moment. Income is massively down (see above) but demand is hugely up .... significantly because so many animals are being abandoned, neglected and turfed out. This is typically because owners can't get out sufficiently to support them, or because in far to many cases, owners mistakenly believe they can contract Covid-19 from their pets and other animals.
So i'm going to give it my very best shot ... please support if you feel able or just send positive vibes. I'll keep phone on throughout, and will endeavour to sponsor back my mates and friends who sponsor this effort. Thanks everyone xx
