Story
We are raising as much as we can for the amazing nurses and the wonderful children and families who work at Haven House on 26 April. Coronavirus means that it is so much harder for so many ill children and their families to get the support and care they need.
My mum works at Haven House and we always hear about how hard she and her team work to raise lots of money each year through fundraising but this year is a lot harder. We loved going to the Summer Fair and doing things at school to raise money for Haven House but now we can’t because it’s not safe for schools to be open and some events are cancelled. The children at Haven House still need to be cared for so we want to keep fundraising... even while we’re at home!
Me and my brother want to raise money to help Haven House so we are taking part in the 2.6 challenge which means we are going to do all 26 ACTIVITIES listed below! Please sponsor what you can to help reach our target of £260!
- Score 26 netball and 26 basketball dunks
- 26 laps in driveway on bike
- 26 running laps round garden
- 26 mins of penalty shoot-out
- 26 football headers
- 2.6 mins of catching and 2.6 mins dribbling ball
- 26 frisbee throws and 26 racquet passes
- 2.6 mins boxing, 2.6 mins treadmill and 2.6 mins yoga
- 2.6 mins hop, 2.6 mins jumps, 2.6 mins lunges
- 26 mins of playing piano and viola
- 26 mins of playing guitar and drums
- Dance for 26 mins
- Write a 26 word poem for Haven House
- Bake 26 cupcakes
- 2.6 hours sponsored silence, 26 min training (Dad!)
- Up and down stairs 26 times in one go, 26 mins run on treadmill, 26 mins HIT session (Mum!)
Please donate what you can for the amazing nurses at Haven House who work everyday to help children during this time!
Thank you so much
