Story

The Movement Centre provides life-changing physiotherapy, called Targeted Training, to children who have a disability - such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome or Global Developmental Delay - which affects their movement control.

The therapy focusses on developing the core strength of children to enable their full potential to be reached. This can be gaining the ability to lift their head so they can answer simple yes/no questions and make decisions for themselves, sitting unaided so they can play with toys, or take their first independent steps.

The charity receives no support from the Government/NHS and are funded solely by what they can raise in conjunction with the families of our children.

The COVID-19 Lockdown has had a big impact on The Movement Centre with their schedule of Fundraising Events having to be cancelled therefore I am undertaking my £26 Poker Challenge on the SkyPoker Platform.

Most of us take for granted the ability to control our head, sit, crawl, stand or walk. We help children with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay & other problems of movement control to achieve these skills through a unique therapy, Targeted Training, which can completely change their lives.
