I work for Together for Animals and our little charity means the world to me. We want to make a world where no animal suffers from injury disease, abuse or neglect.

I am going to run 2.6 miles every day for 10 days - so all in all 26 miles and the length of the London Marathon (which should have been held on the 26th April - the kick off for this challenge!) while observing lock down rules and social distancing. 

This is a challenging time – our members' rehoming activity has had to temporarily stop. Cats, dogs and horses are being cared for by a vital team of staff and fosterers who are providing all the love and attention the animals need. They are safe and cared for. We raise funds to help provide these staff, cover the running costs, the food, and enrichment and play items these animals need whilst they wait for an uncertain time for a new home.

Our members are still providing urgent, lifesaving veterinary care to pets here in the UK and working animals in some of the world’s poorest communities. The funds we raise help provide the vet teams, medicine, clinical support, and items of humane equipment for animals desperately in need.

Our members deal with cases of neglect, abuse and abandonment in animals every day and they are working tirelessly to ensure that animals live happier, healthier lives.
