Story
Hello thank you for coming to my page. I asked my Mummy the other day if due to lock down patients at St.Catherines Hospice,Crawley we’re still getting the same care they gave my Nanny & Grandad when they were receiving their care. Mummy showed me an email from her team mate Arron and he said everyone was being well cared for but it was just important to all be safe at the moment. It’s such a shame all the fund raising events have been cancelled . So I wanted to do my own one!!
I am 10 (in three days!!) and I miss my Nanny and Grandad every day. They were always smiling and they died within a few weeks of each other. St Catherine’s looked after them both in the hospice and at their beautiful home. The nurses always gave me a hug too. My mummy and friend looked after them every day and they helped mummy lots. I loved the gardens and the lovely cakes at the hospice coffee shop.
Since they passed away I have been very sad and have really struggled with anxiety and feeling very low. My teacher Miss Stemp has helped me and I have a lovely doctor Jessie to talk to now. This horrible virus has made me very scared but I wanted to help and do something good for St.Catherines whilst having my daily walk as that is good for my mood. I have decided to walk a marathon distance 26.2 miles whilst home.. I will post pictures and wear mummies St.Catherines T-shirt and hoodie.. please donate and help them. If captain Moore can do it I can do something to. When I go for my walks I will remember all the government advise and all the social distancing measures and sometimes I may just walk in my house or garden

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
