I'm Matt, the CEO and Artistic Director of Eastside and I know that the work Eastside does changes thousands of young lives for the better.

Last year 15, 249 young people to part in 606 artist led sessions across the country.

Like many charities Eastside is facing real challenges due to Covid 19, but our focus remains on navigating this period effectively, delivering as much impact as we can, protecting our wonderful artists, supporting our staff and partners and coming out stronger the other side, ready to deliver even more impact for our communities.

We are particularly interested in developing new programmes to support the mental health challenges that young people are currently facing through providing reassuring and enjoyable participatory arts and creativity activities that can be delivered either digitally at home or in school settings.

I am joining thousands of other charities this Sunday in the 2.6 challenge to kick start Eastside's fundraising efforts - I will be bouncing up and down on my daughter's trampoline for 26 minutes continuously whilst telling an improvised story for children at the same time - anything you can give to help spread the word and help Eastside 'bounce back' would be most welcome.  Let's do this!

Thanks so much,

Matt
